Sounds Great!

This Unit, Sound, in our STEAM class Light, Sound and Time, we studied how sound moves, how to graph its waves, and how we can make and hear it. For our Field Experience, we visited the Chicago Hearing Society and took a tour of their health and social services, then got to participate in a panel with deaf employees. For this action project, we created our own instruments, a type of simple guitar called a diddley bow. We had to build our own, then learn how to find the frequencies of our tones and mark the frets. A picture of my diddley bow, which I named Lee Bow, is below.
