This unit, Light, in our STEAM class Light, Sound and Time, we studied light, how it moves, and how we can use it to take photographs and photograms. For this Action Project, we built our own cameras and applied the science terms we learned to how they worked. Our Field Experience this unit was to Latin School to learn from their photography teacher, Ms. Ross and to use their darkroom to develop our photos. This was really amazing to see the entire process of setting up the shots, developing the film, and printing the images. We also got to try making photograms, which use photographic paper and short exposure times to create highly contrasted images.
