This unit, 2D, in our Elective STEAM class Rapid Prototyping, we learned all about how to make prototypes in 2 dimensions. To do this, we reviewed graphing, how to find the distance between two points, measuring angles, and geometric shapes. To help us understand prototyping, we visited
mHUB, a makerspace in Chicago for businesses, artists, marketers, and more. For our Action Project, we had to create two posters depicting one of the SDGs, Sustainable Development Goals. One of the posters was created by hand, with scissors and glue, and for the other, we used the
Cameo Cutter, a Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) die cutter machine. This was to see the difference between machine and handmade, and how either way can be better or worse, depending on the situation. For my SDG, I decided to use number 10, reduce inequalities, because it really speaks to me. Thank you for reading!
