Action Project Amending

This unit, 1964, in our Humanities class, Argument, we studied the Civil Rights Act and how to apply it to dialectics. For a Field Experience, we saw the show Enemy of the People by Henrik Ibsen at the Goodmen Theater. The play is about a small town that depends on a hot springs spa for their income. A scientist from the town, brothers with the mayor, does a study and finds out the water in the springs is poison. The play follows his quest to get the town and his brother on his side and try to replace the pipes of the spring. We also watched the documentary 13th, about the effects of the abolishment of slavery and how the civil rights act was not truly a synthesis of racism and the oppression of people of color. In this Action Project, we used one of our other Action Projects from the class and revised it using the dialectical format. Thank you for reading!
